Overview —

This traditional stone winery overlooks the Orb Valley in the Languedoc region, southern France. Papa converted this industrial space into modern family accommodation whilst retaining the exposed rock face in the ground floor open plan living room to show water running down and under the house from the mountain, which in summer provides much needed cooling. The upper floors remain largely unchanged in layout and comprise exposed restored original stonework. Papa collaborated with local architects in order to obtain relevant permits.
