Overview —
Six houses were created for this locally listed Georgian stable mews in Islington. An ‘upside down’ design was used to maximize the tight envelope and single aspect by providing a top floor open plan living room with rooflights and an elevated view over local gardens. Two bedrooms fit around a single bathroom downstairs.
These homes were designed to be accessible by the disabled and elderly and won Islington Access Award Lifetime Home Award January 2004
