Overview —
Papa designed a full width rear extension for this stone Arts and Crafts house to create a ground level kitchen and family area onto a beautifully landscaped back garden. A basement was excavated under the whole house (170 msq) achieving space for a children's play area, library, wine cellar and cinema with seating for 35 people. The basement is naturally lit by a stepped design to the rear garden and incorporating a lightwell.
Papa phased the work so that the family was able to stay in situ throughout the construction process.
